A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line technical support to internal colleagues and external customers via phone, email, Zendesk and remote support.
- Log, manage and update support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLAs or escalated where required.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, login, MFA and Clearcare system issues using relevant diagnostic and support tools.
- Install, configure and update software, computers and peripherals where required.
- Follow internal security, privacy and technical procedures when supporting users and handling data.
- Use technical documentation and knowledge bases to investigate issues and develop solutions.
- Work alongside the wider technical team to develop knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, IT security and automation, while completing apprenticeship learning and applying new skills within the role.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £16,500 to £18,500per annum
- Monday to Friday 8:30am till 4:30pm
- 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
- 1 extra day for every year of service

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and grace 5/C in English
- Demonstrated interest in IT and technology
- Good IT literacy and confidence using different software and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Customer service or experience helping others
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing technical knowledge
- Ability to understand problems and identify practical solutions
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic:
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
