Apprenticeship Funding

There is a range of government funding and local authority grant schemes available, which are designed to help you train the next wave of talent or invest in your team’s professional development.

Large organisations with an annual salary bill over £3 million are required to contribute to the Apprenticeship Levy. The Apprenticeship Levy is a dedicated apprenticeship fund, which employers can use to cover the costs of apprenticeship training and assessment.

For SMEs & Microbusinesses that do not pay into the Apprenticeship Levy, the Government will fund 100% of apprenticeship training and assessment costs for apprentices aged 16 – 21 and 95% for apprentices aged 22 and over.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

The technical training component of our Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship is split into 7 structured courses, and our blended learning model combines expert-led coaching with self-led study to balance support with independence.

This two-day course builds a powerful foundation in core marketing theory.

The coach-led course equips apprentices with essential knowledge of legal and compliance requirements, such as data protection, so they can confidently navigate increasingly regulated marketing environments.

This self-study course explores available marketing communication channels – from digital to traditional – empowering learners to confidently choose the appropriate methods for campaigns.

Participants will learn to craft channel strategies that maximise reach, resonate with the target audience, and drive measurable outcomes.

From social media to print advertising, email marketing to events, participants will gain a clear understanding of the unique strengths, limitations, and strategic purpose of each platform.

COURSE 4

In this coach-led course, participants will learn to gather and apply insights that guide product development, portfolio planning, and route-to-market strategy, ensuring every campaign starts with a clear purpose and ends with measurable results.

From understanding customer decision-making to mastering market research, learners will explore how data shapes smarter decisions, and engage with different delivery models and distribution strategies to understand how to position products effectively across channels and audiences.

This two-day, coach-led course is where marketing strategy meets execution. Building on previous knowledge, participants will confidently coordinate digital and offline channels, plan with SMART objectives, and manage an end-to-end campaign.

Learners will explore key technologies and systems used in modern marketing, including CRM platforms, analytics tools, and reporting software.

Covering everything from stakeholder collaboration and time management to copywriting and data analysis, this course develops the practical skills needed to run multiple campaigns effectively, meet deadlines, manage budgets, and deliver results.

COURSE 6

This coach-led course marks a pivotal point in the programme, where learners bring together everything they’ve explored and apply it to real-world marketing contexts.

Role Overview

Duration: 12 Months and up to 5 Months End Point Assessment.

As a Marketing Executive apprentice, you will work alongside your Marketing Manager to plan and execute tactical and targeted marketing activities. You will collaborate directly with your company’s marketing team and wider departments to push to achieve business goals.

In this role, you could work in an in-house marketing team or in a specialist creative agency. Regardless of sector or industry, this is a highly audience focused position which requires creativity, communication, and project management skills.

Your responsibilities will include conducting efficient market research, competitor analysis, creating marketing materials, managing and scheduling social media content, and tracking and reporting on both social media and website analytics.

Salary Expectations

We are proud members of the Decent Wage Pledge and advocate for higher wages for our apprentices. The minimum salary we ask our employers to pay their apprentices is £13,000 though many of our employers pay their apprentices more than this!

The salary of a Marketing Executive apprentice will vary dependent on your location, company size, and industry. The average salary for a Marketing Executive apprentice in the UK is between £17,000 to £22,000 per year, and apprentices who complete their training and obtain a permanent position can look forward to a salary increase.

Everything we do is built with our learners in mind. To ensure our learners receive the appropriate level of coaching and overall support, each learner has a designated coach that will support them throughout the entirety of their apprenticeship.

Our approach is designed to empower our learners to achieve their full potential, and we take great pride in offering personalised and comprehensive support. We understand that each individual has unique learning needs, goals, and challenges, and we strive to provide tailored support to help our apprentices succeed in their apprenticeship journey.

Working alongside our coaches, we have a dedicated Safeguarding Team. Their main responsibilities are to keep each of our learners safe and protect them from physical abuse, emotional abuse, domestic abuse, cyberbullying, radicalisation, among other safeguarding concerns, and provide physical and mental health support and advice.
