WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AI CONSULTATIONS

An AI Skills Consultation is a tailored, multi-step assessment designed to help organisations understand how AI skills can support their people, improve productivity and achieve wider business goals.

Rather than offering generic advice, we take the time to understand your organisation, your objectives, your current use of AI and the challenges you’re looking to solve before making any recommendations.

Using these insights, we’ll identify where AI skills can create the greatest impact and recommend practical next steps tailored to your organisation.

Your AI Skills Consultation begins with a discovery call, where we’ll explore your organisation’s goals, current use of AI, operational challenges and future ambitions.

Depending on your organisation’s needs, we may recommend an AI Skills Workshop with our Head of Technology Operations and Sales Enablement Manager to explore topics such as culture, technology and governance in more detail.

Regardless of whether you take part in an AI Skills Workshop or not, we request everyone completes our AI Skills & Confidence Survey before we provide tailored recommendations and practical next steps in the final presentation.

AI is transforming the way organisations work but knowing which AI skills your people need isn’t always straightforward.

An AI Skills Consultation helps you identify where AI skills can have the greatest impact across your organisation, understand which teams would benefit most from AI development, and build a practical roadmap for developing AI capability. You’ll receive tailored recommendations that support productivity, strengthen workforce skills, and help your organisation adopt AI with confidence.

AI Skills Consultations are designed for employers of all sizes, wherever they are on their AI journey.

Whether you’re just starting to explore AI, already using tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT, or looking to scale AI skills across multiple teams, we’ll tailor the consultation to your organisation’s goals and current level of AI adoption.

If AI is being used inconsistently across your organisation, you’re unsure where skills gaps exist, or you’re looking to introduce more advanced AI capabilities, we’ll help you identify the right opportunities and build a practical plan for developing AI skills.

Meaningful, organisation-specific advice requires time to understand your goals, assess your current AI capability and complete the analysis needed to make informed recommendations.

Our AI Skills Consultation is delivered as a flexible, multi-step process that works around your schedule.

It begins with a 30-minute discovery call, then depending on your organisation’s needs, we may also recommend a 30-minute AI Skills Workshop to explore your goals, AI use cases and priorities in more detail.

Every consultation includes our AI Skills & Confidence Survey, which takes around five minutes to complete. Your team will have two weeks to complete the survey.

We’ll then complete the analysis behind the scenes before presenting our findings and tailored recommendations in a 1-hour final presentation.

Following your AI Skills Consultation, you’ll receive the full consultation presentation, containing all of our findings, insights and tailored recommendations for your organisation, including your AI skills assessment, priority areas, recommended learning pathways and practical next steps.

You’ll receive clear, actionable recommendations that you can take away and implement in whatever way works best for your organisation. Whether you choose to deliver the recommendations internally, work with existing partners, or continue your AI skills journey with Baltic, the consultation is designed to give you a practical roadmap that supports your organisation’s goals.

How Do Baltic’s AI Consultations Work?

Our AI Consultations are designed as a multi-step process to help us build a complete picture of your organisation. Rather than offering generic advice, we take the time to understand your business, your goals, your current use of AI, and the challenges you’re looking to solve.

STEP 1

Once you’ve booked your AI Skills Consultation, one of our specialists will be in touch to arrange a 30-minute discovery call at a time that suits you.

During the call, we’ll get to know your organisation, your goals and the challenges you’re looking to solve. We’ll discuss how AI is currently being used across your business, identify any skills gaps or opportunities, and understand which teams or departments could benefit most from AI development.

This conversation helps us tailor the consultation to your organisation, ensuring the recommendations you receive are relevant, practical and aligned with your business objectives. We’ll also agree the most appropriate next steps, whether that’s progressing directly to the AI Skills & Confidence Survey or including an AI Skills Workshop as part of your consultation.

STEP 2

For some organisations, we may recommend an AI Skills Workshop as part of your consultation. This collaborative 30-minute session brings together key stakeholders to help us build a deeper understanding of how your organisation operates and where AI skills could have the greatest impact.

Hosted by our Head of Technology Operations and Sales Enablement Manager, the workshop explores areas such as current AI usage, operational challenges, workforce capability, governance and opportunities for improvement. By gathering insight from different departments, we’re able to identify organisation-wide skills gaps and provide more informed, tailored recommendations.

Not every organisation will require an AI Skills Workshop. We’ll recommend one only where it will add value and help us develop a more comprehensive AI skills roadmap for your organisation.

Every AI Skills Consultation includes our AI Skills & Confidence Survey, giving us (and you!) valuable insight into how your workforce is currently using AI and where further development may be needed. The survey takes around five minutes to complete, and your team will have up to two weeks to submit their responses.

The survey explores areas such as current AI usage, confidence levels, familiarity with AI tools, understanding of responsible AI use, and opportunities to improve day-to-day ways of working. By gathering feedback directly from employees, we build a clearer picture of AI understanding across your organisation and identify where skills gaps exist.

These insights allow us to move beyond assumptions and ensure our recommendations are based on real workforce data, resulting in a more accurate, tailored roadmap for developing AI skills across your organisation.

STEP 3

The final stage of your AI Skills Consultation is a 1-hour presentation, where we’ll walk you through everything we’ve learned about your organisation and present our tailored recommendations.

We’ll share an overview of your current AI maturity, highlight workforce strengths and skills gaps, identify opportunities across teams and departments, and recommend practical next steps for developing AI skills. You’ll also receive an organisational AI skills map, suggested learning pathways, and a phased roadmap where appropriate, helping you prioritise the areas that will deliver the greatest impact.

Following the presentation, you’ll receive a copy of the full consultation to take away and use however best suits your organisation. Whether you choose to implement the recommendations internally, work with existing partners, or continue your AI skills journey with Baltic, you’ll leave with a clear, evidence-based plan for developing AI skills across your workforce.
