Are you passionate about technology, enjoy solving problems, and want to start your career in IT? Mark 1 IT is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice to join their growing team and develop the skills needed for a successful career in technical support.
Mark 1 IT provides professional IT support and technology solutions to businesses, helping customers get the most from their technology while keeping their systems secure, reliable, and running smoothly. As part of the team, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience supporting real customers.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- First-Line IT Support – Provide friendly and professional technical support to customers, helping resolve common IT issues.
- Service Desk Support – Triage and manage incoming support tickets, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, and progressed appropriately.
- Troubleshooting & Escalation – Investigate technical problems and escalate more complex issues to experienced engineers when required.
- Technical Development – Develop your knowledge of Microsoft technologies, networking, IT support, and industry best practices.
- Customer Service – Work towards delivering an excellent client experience by keeping customers informed and ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.
- Team Support – Work closely with experienced engineers and the wider technical team while helping to increase the capacity of the service desk.
- Learning & Development – Take part in apprenticeship training and certification programmes while developing your technical skills.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- A genuine interest in IT and problem-solving.
- A confident and clear communicator, particularly over the phone.
- A good listener with strong attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Organised and eager to learn.
- Able to follow processes and comfortable asking for help when unsure.
- The ability to speak both "Geek" and human!
- A genuine desire to deliver an amazing client experience.
- Adaptable and able to keep up with the fast-paced world of IT.
- A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £15,600 per annum.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to launch a rewarding career in IT support.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across first-line support, ticket management, troubleshooting, Microsoft technologies, networking, and customer service. Alongside your workplace experience, you’ll receive expert training and one-to-one support from Baltic Apprenticeships.
You’ll be based full time with your employer and become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
