IT Apprenticeship

ST&R Limited is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Level 3 Apprentice to join its growing team in Chorley.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in technology and wants to turn that passion into a career. Whether you're already building PCs, troubleshooting technology at home, experimenting with software, or simply the person friends and family turn to when something goes wrong with their computer, ST&R wants to help develop that enthusiasm into valuable professional IT skills.

As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the technology that keeps a growing business running, while working towards a recognised Level 3 IT qualification.

In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Provide first-line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems, delivering excellent customer service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, connectivity and Microsoft 365 issues, escalating complex problems when required.
• Set up, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals and software.
• Support user account management, including new starters, leavers, passwords and access permissions.
• Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, migrations and cybersecurity, helping maintain reliable and secure IT systems.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and technical documentation, while continuously developing technical knowledge through training and hands-on experience.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• Salary – £16,000 – £18,000
• Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM
• 22 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 additional day for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional day

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Communication Skills
• Keen problem solver
• Grade 4/C in Math's and 5/C in English at GCSE is required for this role
