Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in IT? TechResponse, a growing IT support and services company based in Sonning, near Reading, is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Apprentice to join their friendly and experienced team.
TechResponse provides professional IT support and consultancy to a diverse range of customers, including businesses, schools, charities, and non-profit organisations. The team provides both remote and on-site technical support, helping customers get the most from their technology and ensuring their IT systems remain secure, reliable, and effective.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- IT Support & Troubleshooting – Handle and resolve IT support requests through a ticketing system, providing technical assistance to users via different communication channels and escalating issues in line with service agreements.
- Security & Access Management – Assist with security-related tasks including password management, access controls, security software, and supporting customers to maintain secure IT environments.
- Hardware & Software Support – Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software, helping to keep customer systems running effectively.
- Network & Connectivity – Carry out software updates and assist with managing network devices, connectivity, and other IT infrastructure.
- Technical Documentation – Review and apply technical documentation to support day-to-day IT operations while developing an understanding of industry best practices.
- Cloud & Automation – Gain hands-on experience with cloud services and develop your understanding of basic scripting to help automate routine IT tasks.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,000 to £21,000 per annum.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience across a broad range of technical support activities, from troubleshooting hardware and software issues to supporting networks, security, cloud services, and automation. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and gain the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
