Are you passionate about technology, motivated to learn and excited to start your career in IT? We’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our team and take the first step towards a rewarding career in technology.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about IT, motivated, curious and eager to learn. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, gain valuable experience and build your confidence within a professional IT environment.
You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, ask questions, get involved and develop your skills.
Alongside your hands-on experience with SII, you’ll receive structured apprenticeship training through Baltic Apprenticeships. Your training will take place in two-day blocks every 4–6 months, giving you dedicated time to develop your knowledge, work towards your apprenticeship qualification and put what you learn into practice.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Shadow the first-line support team.
- Provide support with IT issues, including password resets, printer support, hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Support in the management of ticketing systems.
- Install and configure software, build laptops and prepare devices to be ready for use.
- Learn and assist with device imaging.
- Support the employee lifecycle, including new starter setup and leaver procedures.
- Develop good email security and phishing awareness practices, helping to identify security risks.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

- Time-management and organisational skills.
- A Grade 5 in GCSE English & Grade 4 in GCSE Maths
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £17,000-£20,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week
- 25 days of annual leave, increasing 1 day per year up to 30 days.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
