Baltic Apprenticeships are delighted to be working with Willows Health to recruit their next IT Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team, develop their technical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a recognised IT qualification.
This is not a conventional helpdesk role where you will simply follow scripts and pass difficult problems to somebody else. You will resolve day-to-day supportrequests, deploy equipment and systems, investigate underlying problems and help us improve how technology is used across the organisation.
The role combines remote support with practical, on-site IT work. Although much of the work can be completed remotely, you must live in Leicester or within reasonable travelling distance and be able to attend local offices when hands-on support is required.
In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Receive, assess and resolve IT support requests, providing clear and professional support to users both remotely and in person.
- Set up, configure and maintain computers, mobile devices, monitors, peripherals and other workplace technology.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions and access, supporting employee onboarding, role changes and offboarding.
- Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and other cloud-based systems and device-management activities.
- Install, configure, update and troubleshoot software, hardware, applications, accounts and connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records, support device security, patching and compliance, and assist with basic network and infrastructure checks.
- Create and improve technical documentation, investigate recurring issues, contribute to process improvements and automation, and work with colleagues and suppliers to resolve issues effectively.
- Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £17,000 to £20,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday –Mixture of working from home and site.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

- Experience building, repairing or configuring computers
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, mobile devices or common business software
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Grade 5/C in English or 4/C in Math's GCSE
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
