WASHCO is looking for a motivated IT Apprentice with a genuine passion for technology and a confident communication style. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping others, be eager to learn new skills and have a positive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork. The successful apprentice will work alongside experienced professionals who will provide guidance and mentoring throughout the apprenticeship, helping them build both technical knowledge and workplace confidence. Alongside day-to-day responsibilities, the apprentice will complete structured training through Baltic Apprenticeship, attending dedicated two-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks to support their development and industry learning.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff by responding to IT issues and helping to resolve problems.
• Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining computers, software, and other IT equipment.
• Support the management of user accounts, including password resets and access requests.
• Help diagnose and fix basic hardware, software, and network issues, escalating more complex problems when needed.
• Keep accurate records of IT issues, updates, and resolutions using the company’s support system.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

• Attention to detail to maintain accurate and up-to-date IT support records.
• Confident communication skills when speaking with customers and colleagues.
• Previous retail experience with an understanding of customer service.
• Passion for IT and enthusiasm for learning about technology.
• Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £16,642 per annum.
• 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
• 33 days annual leave including bank holidays.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
