IT Apprenticeship

Abtec Network Systems is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification in IT support and network infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Provide first-line support for Abtec customers.
• Maintain accurate diagrams, configuration records and support documentation.
• Assist in maintaining our core infrastructure and data centre environments.
• Deploy and commission equipment at customer sites.
• Join the on-call rota after completing the required training and demonstrating competence.
• Manage support cases ensuring accuracy of information is stored.
• Assist with infrastructure implementation projects.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,600 per annum
• Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
• 20 days + bank holidays
• A tailored development plan with agreed learning goals and regular progress reviews.
• £15,600 p/a year 1, rising with experience in year 2.
• Company profit share. (After 2 years)
• On-call allowance. (Once Skilled)
• Pension.
• Free on-site parking.
• 28 days including bank holidays.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
• Can do attitude.
• Willingness to learn and use initiative
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a current passport and be willing to travel when required.
