Answer Digital is an employee-owned technology consultancy that helps organisations transform the way they work through innovative digital solutions. Working across areas such as software development, data and AI, the company partners with organisations, including the NHS, to solve real-world challenges and make a positive difference through technology.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to turn their genuine interest in IT into a career. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who is curious about technology, enjoys solving problems and is eager to learn new skills. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and the confidence to ask questions and share ideas.

You’ll be joining a supportive team of experienced professionals who will help you develop your technical knowledge, build confidence and gain valuable hands-on experience. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from colleagues, get involved in real projects and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and experience grow.

Alongside your role, you’ll work towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification with Baltic Apprenticeships. You’ll attend two-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, where you’ll develop your IT knowledge, learn new technical skills and put your learning into practice in the workplace. With a combination of structured training and practical experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in IT.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support requests across the business — resolving issues efficiently and with great customer service.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems for a medium size workforce.
  • Logging, tracking, and resolving support tickets in line with agreed response times.
  • Escalating more complex issues to the IT Manager with clear documentation of steps already taken.
  • Supporting remote workers with connectivity, device, and application issues.
  • Setting up, configuring, and imaging laptops and mobile devices for new starters and leavers.
  • Installing and updating software, drivers, and operating systems.
  • Managing and maintaining hardware — identifying when devices need repair, replacement, or upgrade.
  • Creating and managing user accounts across Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of our network infrastructure and office connectivity.
  • Supporting the IT Manager in maintaining our IT security posture- flagging risks, assisting with security updates and ensuring devices and compliant.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
