Baltic Apprenticeships are working in partnership with MICT Gold to find their next IT Support Apprentice. MICT Gold provides professional IT support and technology solutions to businesses, helping organisations manage their IT infrastructure, resolve technical issues and ensure their systems remain secure, reliable and efficient.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is genuinely interested in IT and looking to begin a career in technical support. You'll work alongside an experienced helpdesk team, gaining hands-on experience supporting customers remotely and on-site across a wide variety of technical environments. No two days will be the same, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of IT skills while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in the industry.

In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

·       Take ownership of incoming support requests via phone, email and the ticketing system

·       Triage and resolve technical issues at first-line support level

·       Escalate more complex issues promptly to senior members of the technical team, ensuring clear notes and accurate information are provided

·       Manage user accounts across Microsoft 365 and Active Directory

·       Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware and software issues remotely and on-site

·       Keep the ticketing system accurate and up to date throughout the support process

·       Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge base articles

·       Work collaboratively with the wider helpdesk team to share knowledge and support customers effectively

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

·       Salary of £15,600 – £22,000 per annum

·       Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm

Desired Skills, Qualities and Experience:

·       Genuine interest in IT and technology

·       Calm and composed approach when working under pressure

·       Good communication skills with a customer-focused attitude

·       Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365

·       Familiarity with ticketing or service desk systems and user management

·       Proactive approach and willingness to learn

·       Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship provides everything you need to launch a successful career in IT support and infrastructure.

You'll gain hands-on experience supporting users, managing accounts, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and working with Microsoft technologies. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to thrive in the IT industry.

You'll be based full-time with your employer and quickly become a valued member of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
