This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for technology who is looking to begin a career in IT Support. You'll join an experienced technical team, providing first-line support to customers while gaining valuable hands-on experience across a variety of hardware, software and networking technologies.

In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end users via phone, email and in person
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network connectivity issues
  • Monitor and manage the IT ticketing system, logging, prioritising and escalating support requests where required
  • Assist with the setup, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment
  • Install, configure and update software applications in line with company policies
  • Support users with password resets and account unlocks while following security procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver an excellent customer support experience

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary of £16,000 – £20,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • 25 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Potential opportunity to secure a full-time permanent role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

Desired Skills, Qualities and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
  • Passion for IT and technology
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
  • Grade 6 in GCSE Maths and Grade 4 in GCSE English are essential for this role

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship provides everything you need to launch a successful career in IT.

You'll gain hands-on experience supporting users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems and developing your knowledge of networking and infrastructure technologies. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll gain the technical skills, industry-recognised qualification and confidence needed to build a long-term career in IT.

You'll be based full-time with your employer and quickly become a valued member of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
