With expertise in areas including energy procurement, compliance, and renewable energy, they support organisations in making smarter and more efficient energy decisions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart a career in IT while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment. Alongside the role, the successful apprentice will complete a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship, building valuable technical skills and industry knowledge for a successful future in tech.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line IT support to internal users by resolving technical issues via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, the helpdesk ticketing system, and face-to-face support, escalating tickets where appropriate.
  • Manage user accounts and security by resetting passwords, configuring Microsoft 365 accounts, maintaining Active Directory security groups, and following IT security procedures.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and update hardware and software, including operating systems, user applications, RAM upgrades, printers, Bluetooth devices, and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues using diagnostic tools such as Task Manager, Remote Viewer, and Command Prompt, while developing an understanding of the organisation's network infrastructure, switch ports, and VLANs.
  • Follow technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and internal checklists to complete tasks such as onboarding new starters, processing leavers, user account changes, and ensuring work is completed consistently and accurately.
  • Support the organisation's cloud and IT infrastructure by maintaining Microsoft 365 services (including SharePoint and OneDrive), ensuring systems remain up to date with software and driver updates, and using basic scripting where appropriate to automate or resolve support tasks.
  • Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to friday 9am till 5pm (Friday 4pm finish)
  • 22 days annual leave per year (pro rata), plus bank holidays

  • Grade 5/C in English or 4/C in Math's GCSE

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
