Are you passionate about technology and looking to launch your career in IT? Kriston Technology is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join their team as an IT Support Apprentice.

As a trusted IT partner to businesses across the UK and internationally, Kriston Technology delivers expert IT support, project management, and technology solutions to organisations of all sizes. This apprenticeship provides the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised IT qualification.

You'll join a supportive and experienced team, developing your technical skills while providing first-line support to a wide range of business clients.

The IT Apprentice will receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, including 2-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, alongside hands-on experience in the workplace. This combination of practical learning and formal training will help build a strong foundation for a long-term career in IT.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line IT support to customers via telephone, remote support tools, and email.
  • Log, manage, and update service desk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation throughout.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and user-related issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to 2nd and 3rd Line Support Consultants when required.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows Desktop Operating Systems, and Active Directory user administration.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to help resolve technical issues.
  • Prioritise and manage workloads in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with hardware support across a range of devices, including Dell, HP, and Lenovo equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to a high standard of customer service.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • A genuine interest in IT and technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly approach.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, and IT hardware would be beneficial.
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £17,000 per annum (with potential up to £24,000 depending on age and experience)
  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
