Xcede IT is a full service information technology company based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. They cover the whole of the UK from their office with both remote and on-site servicing. Their team provides over 110 years of combined experience, so you are in the best hands to develop and enhance your skills!

As an IT Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for providing 1st line IT Support, escalating tickets when needed, conducting password resets, installing operating systems, installing firewalls and so much more to become an IT wizard and reach your true potential!

In this role, you’ll work towards your L3 Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Assisting with call logging and answering incoming customer enquirers on the help desk
  • Using Connect Wise / Automate as a ticketing system to escalate, prioritise and fix incoming client tickets
  • Communicating with clients via ticketing system, phone and email regarding their issues
  • Ensuring all work is inline with all security principles and SLA's
  • Conducting Password Resets, Office 365 mail profiles Installing and configuring operating systems such as 365
  • Working on Network Architecture, installing and configuring firewalls, routers and switches
  • Using a range of troubleshooting tools such as event viewer and command prompt
  • Hardware installation such as desktops, printers, laptops etc

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary – £14,560
  • Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM – 35 hour working week
  • Annual Leave 22 Days + Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Communication skills – Written & Verbal
  • Driver Required for the role
  • Good telephone manner
  • Eager to learn
  • Genuine interest in IT
  • Grade 4/C in Math's & English GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2
