As an IT Apprentice, you'll work alongside a supportive and experienced IT team who will guide you throughout your apprenticeship journey. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and systems, helping to support users across the business while developing practical skills in IT support, networking, infrastructure and troubleshooting.
We're looking for someone who has a genuine passion for technology, enjoys solving problems and has a keen interest in networking and IT systems. Whether you've built your own PC, experimented with home networks, or simply enjoy learning about technology, we'd love to hear from you.
Alongside your day-to-day role, you'll complete a structured apprenticeship programme delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships. You'll attend dedicated two-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, giving you the opportunity to develop industry-recognised skills and knowledge while applying what you learn in a real-world environment.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- First line IT Support via phone, email, Teams and in person.
- Create and manage user accounts across platforms including but not limited to Active Directory, Autodesk and Adobe.
- Supporting all current and future company accreditations involving IT.
- Carry out internal audits on software usage, user accounts, permissions and assets.
- Maintaining and supporting all printers within the business.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Active Directory (password resets, account management)
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi setup, VPNs)
- Troubleshooting PC hardware and peripherals
- Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £16,640 per annum
- Monday- Friday, 9am till 5pm
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
