As an IT Support Apprentice, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting a wide range of businesses and technologies while developing the technical and professional skills needed to thrive in the industry.
In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to customers remotely and on-site
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac operating systems
- Respond to IT support requests within agreed SLA timeframes
- Install and configure IT equipment in office, remote and customer environments
- Set up user accounts, email addresses and security groups
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, configurations and critical system information
- Support the upgrade and deployment of IT hardware and software
- Troubleshoot printers, copiers and scanners
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing regular updates on progress
- Collaborate with the wider technical team, sharing knowledge and updates
- Support IT projects and attend training sessions as required
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary of £19,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Desired Skills, Qualities and Experience:
- Strong communication skills
- Good IT skills and a genuine interest in technology
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role
Your Training with Baltic:
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of IT and launch a rewarding career in technical support.
You'll gain practical experience supporting users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring devices and working with a range of business technologies. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your technical knowledge and gain the skills, qualification and confidence needed to succeed in IT.
You'll be based full-time with your employer and quickly become a valued member of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
