As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for technology who wants to develop practical IT skills within a modern software company.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries via phone, email, and in person, log, prioritise, and resolve support tickets using the IT service desk system
  • Troubleshoot common hardware and software issues, escalating to senior colleagues where necessary
  • Assist users with password resets, account access, and basic application support
  • Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, and peripherals for new and existing staff
  • Carry out basic maintenance and repairs on IT equipment including printers, scanners, and docking stations
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and VPN
  • Support the installation and maintenance of network hardware such as switches, routers, and access points under supervision
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and updating of operating systems and standard software applications

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic Apprenticeships team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • £15,600 – £24,785 per annum (Minimum Wage depending on age)
  • Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
  • A structured apprenticeship programme with a nationally recognised qualification

  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Desired Skills & Qualities:

  • A genuine interest in IT and technology with a desire to build a career in the sector
  • GCSEs at grade 5/C or above in English and grace 4/C Maths
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
