As our IT Apprentice, you'll become part of a supportive and experienced IT team who are committed to helping you grow. You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of technologies, work on real business projects, and have the opportunity to develop valuable technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for technology, a curious mindset, and a willingness to learn. Whether you're troubleshooting an issue, exploring new systems or finding creative solutions to problems, you'll enjoy taking on challenges and continuously developing your skills.

Alongside your day-to-day role, you'll complete a nationally recognised apprenticeship with Baltic Apprenticeships. Your learning will be delivered through dedicated two-day training blocks every 4-6 weeks, giving you the perfect balance of practical workplace experience and expert-led learning to help you build a successful career in IT.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  •  Provide first-line IT support for incidents and service requests received via telephone, email, chat and self-service portal. 
  • Log, categorise, prioritise and manage tickets using the IT Service Management platform. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and Microsoft 365 issues under the guidance of senior team members. 
  • Support the setup, deployment and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices and peripherals. 
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets and access requests in accordance with security policies. 
  • Support IT projects and technology rollouts as required. 

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • Passion for Information Technology and customer service.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English.

Salary, Hours&Benefits:

  • £17,000 per annum
  • 40 hours per week- 4 days in office, 1 day at home
  • 23 days annual leave

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
