We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our busy IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for technology who is eager to develop practical skills while working towards a recognised IT qualification.
As an IT Support Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience supporting colleagues across the business, helping to maintain IT systems, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure our technology infrastructure supports the smooth operation of our manufacturing and office environments. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals who will provide training, mentoring and support throughout your apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to build a successful career in IT.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide 1st Line IT support.
- Manage Freshdesk tickets.
- Log and prioritise incidents.
- Carry out password resets and unlock user accounts.
- Set up user devices.
- Support office users and production/shop floor staff.
- Carry out daily server health checks.
- Investigate alerts.
- Carry out network checks.
- Troubleshoot device, printer, network and user issues.
- Support the Windows 11 rollout.
- Identify outdated PCs for replacement.
- Support compliance work and audit preparation.
- Gain exposure to the future ERP replacement project, including data migration, software rollout, user support and colleague training.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Passion for IT
- Strong Communication skills
- A Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and Grade 5/C in English is required for the role
- An enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Aptitude for learning new skills.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,000 per annum
- 8:15am – 4:30pm – Monday – Friday
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Sick Leave (After successfully completing probationary period)
- Company Sick Pay of between 1 week and 13 weeks, depending on length of service.

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
