ZEISS Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Support Apprentice to join the IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about technology and eager to develop their technical knowledge within a professional environment.

You will provide first-line helpdesk support across the company while gaining hands-on experience supporting users, systems, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line helpdesk support across the business
  • Efficiently log support calls using the ZEISS helpdesk system
  • Deliver first and second-line technical support to colleagues both locally and remotely
  • Support users with software, hardware, and network-related issues
  • Install and configure software applications
  • Liaise with internal and external support providers
  • Assist with machine deployment using imaging software
  • Support the Senior Support Analyst with maintaining IT infrastructure
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Office applications
  • Work with Windows Server environments and Service Now helpdesk systems

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • GCSE Maths 4/C GCSE English 5/C is essential

Hours Salary and Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Monday – Friday 9AM – 5.30PM
  • £18,000 per annum
