Flex IT is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic workplace. Established in 1998, the company was born out of the IT expertise of a leading accountancy firm and has since grown into a trusted partner for businesses across Shropshire and beyond. As a specialist provider of end-to-end IT solutions, Flex IT supports clients with everything from day-to-day IT support to full network installations, hardware supply, and software services. This apprenticeship provides the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals in an environment built on integrity, professionalism, and long-term relationships.
Apprentices at Flex IT are placed at the heart of its mission: ensuring clients’ businesses run seamlessly while they focus on growth and success. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Answering telephone calls using standard procedures.
- Logging support calls onto helpdesk software if customers has not already logged.
- Configuration and installation of workstations, laptops, printers, routers and any other hardware as required.
- Keeping customer updated when working on support tickets via ConnectWise
- Working to resolve helpdesk issues in a timely manner but escalating to 2nd line if required.
- Creating documentation on any installations or updating calls as required.
- Transfer of equipment from reception to Flex work area.
- Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,000 to 20,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8:30am till 5pm
- 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of Windows Operating Systems and common software like Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with hardware components would be beneficial
- Ability to work towards deadlines.
- Organisational skills.
- Problem solving mindset.
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
- Due to the nature of the role full licence is required
- Grade 4/C in Math’s & Grade 5/C in English
Your Training with Baltic:
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
