ASM Technologies is now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join its supportive and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong communication and organisational skills who is eager to begin a career in IT and develop hands-on technical experience within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals who will provide ongoing support and guidance from day one, helping them to build confidence, technical knowledge, and valuable workplace skills throughout the apprenticeship.

As part of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will complete a Level 3 ICT qualification delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships. Training will include dedicated learning sessions for 2 days every 4–6 weeks, alongside practical on-the-job experience with the ASM Technologies team.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all technical queries globally, ensuring swift and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Manage the ticketing system, prioritising requests and escalating complex problems to the relevant senior team members.
  • Provision and de-provision user accounts across various systems, managing access controls and permissions with a focus on 'least privilege'.
  • Assist in the routine maintenance and monitoring of network, server, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and system patching to ensure all devices and software are secure and up-to-date.
  • Help to enforce internal IT policies and procedures, contributing to a strong culture of IT governance.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues and customers.
  • IT skills and an interest in developing technical knowledge.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently when required

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £15,600 per annum.
  • 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • 25 days annual leave including bank holidays.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
