This opportunity would suit an individual who is naturally curious about how technology works, brings a confident and positive attitude, and is not afraid to ask questions or get involved. The ideal candidate will be motivated, driven to develop their skills, and excited to be part of a fast-paced, supportive environment. The successful candidate will join a friendly and experienced service desk team that is dedicated to helping them succeed. The engineers are known for their strong technical knowledge and willingness to support and mentor others, creating an environment where apprentices can grow and thrive.
As part of their development, the apprentice will receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, including dedicated 2-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, alongside hands-on experience in the workplace, providing the perfect balance of learning and real-world application.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Contribute and work within projects to ensure successful execution within defined deadlines, contributing to the smooth implementation of IT solutions for our clients.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Participate in client meetings, including face-to-face interactions, and pre-sales activities, providing technical expertise and building strong client relationships.
- Monitor and maintain computer networks.
- Analyse system logs and identify potential issues or trends.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Able to approach new tasks and challenges with a positive and confident attitude.
- Shows a genuine interest in technology, whether through studies, personal projects, or keeping up with industry trends.
- Highly motivated to learn and develop new skills.
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical users.
- Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,000 per annum.
- 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
