YASA is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an IT Support Apprentice, offering a competitive starting salary of £25,000. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in IT, gaining valuable hands-on experience within a fast-paced, innovative, and supportive environment.

As part of our team, you will work closely with experienced IT professionals who will support your development, helping you build a strong foundation in technical skills across hardware, software, and networking. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality support to users across the organisation, while also developing the knowledge and confidence needed to progress within the IT field.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job

·      Act as the first point of contact for users experiencing IT issues

·      Provide support across hardware, software, and network problems

·      Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues through collaborative working

·      Resolve problems efficiently or escalate when necessary

·      Guide users step-by-step through solutions and fixes

·      Manage and update service desk tickets

·      Ensure tickets are handled within defined service level agreements (SLAs)

·      Deliver friendly, enthusiastic, and user-focused support

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic Apprenticeships team.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge

·      Demonstrate strong communication skills across a range of audiences

·      Adapt communication style to work effectively at different levels of the organisation

·      Show willingness and ability to develop interpersonal and professional skills

·      Fit well within the team through a positive personality and attitude

·      Bring any relevant experience or hobbies that support technical understanding (desirable but not essential)

·      Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
