You’ll become part of a supportive, friendly and knowledgeable team who will guide you every step of the way. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment where your growth and success are encouraged. Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, attending dedicated 2-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks. This combination of practical experience and expert-led learning will help you build the technical knowledge, confidence and qualifications needed for a successful career in IT.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Solving network connectivity issues using remote systems.
- Managing service tickets and customer requests.
- Answering telephone and email support requests.
- Communicating with customers.
- Completing the initial diagnosis of support cases and network events and either resolving to the customers satisfaction using documented processes and procedures or escalating as necessary.
- Setting up core routers.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with customer service (in any setting)
- Interest in IT support or fixing tech.
- Any knowledge of how the internet or networks work.
- Any experience using systems like ConnectWise, Zendesk, or monitoring tools.
- Familiar with certain things such as IP address, Ping, Traceroute, or firewalls.
- Friendly and helpful attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £16,000-£18,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
