The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and friendly IT team who understand what it is like to start a career in technology. As part of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will receive structured training delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships, including two-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, alongside hands-on experience in the workplace. This combination of practical experience and expert training will help develop the technical knowledge and professional skills needed for a successful IT career.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide 1st line IT support (and occasional 2nd line support) to internal and external users.
  • Respond to and manage support requests using the Halo ITSM ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Work alongside a senior engineer to deliver managed IT infrastructure services.
  • Assist with IT projects and technical support activities.
  • Support clients with device setup and maintenance (e.g. laptop builds and wipes).
  • Assist with school-based IT support tasks such as classroom device management.
  • Work with different teams to support technical solutions and client proposals.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and process guides.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

  • Good work ethic and motivation.
  • Willingness to take initiative and support the team when needed.
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,000 per annum.
  • 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Bonus scheme based on company and personal performance of up to 10.5%.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
