Wicresoft UK is now looking for a passionate and driven IT Apprentice to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in technology, a natural curiosity for how things work, and a desire to build a career in IT. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys problem-solving, thinking logically, and taking initiative when faced with new challenges. The apprentice will be joining a supportive and collaborative team of experienced IT professionals who are committed to helping them learn, develop, and succeed. From day one, they will be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and build confidence in a real-world IT environment.
Alongside hands-on experience, the apprentice will receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, an industry-leading digital training provider. Training will be delivered in dedicated 2-day blocks every 4–6 weeks, covering essential IT skills, industry knowledge, and recognised certifications, helping to build a strong foundation for a future career in IT. Baltic’s programmes are designed to develop practical, real-world skills and lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, and the ticketing system, providing clear updates and next steps.
- Troubleshoot common issues across Windows, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), printers, and connectivity (Wi Fi/VPN).
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, including imaging and software installation.
- Support user identity and access tasks such as password resets, account unlocks, and licence requests under supervision.
- Record accurate notes and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and reduce repeat incidents.
- Escalate complex or high impact issues to 2nd line engineers with clear supporting evidence.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, volunteering, or similar).
- A genuine interest in progressing into cloud, infrastructure, or cybersecurity roles.
- Clear, polite communication skills and confidence speaking with customers by phone and email.
- A logical, structured approach to problem solving.
- Basic familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365 (e.g. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
- Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn from feedback.
- Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
