Established in 1992, we have built a reputation across the North East for delivering expert IT support, managed services, and office technology solutions, all underpinned by our core values of honesty, expertise, and value for money.

We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our growing technical team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in IT, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality support and exceptional customer service.

As an apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with a wide range of IT services—from troubleshooting hardware and software issues to assisting with network infrastructure and cloud-based solutions—while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the IT industry.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, ticketing systems, and on-site visits
  • Manage user accounts and support core security processes (password resets, MFA, access controls, antivirus)
  • Troubleshoot IT issues using standard tools, documentation, and internal knowledge bases
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across user devices and systems
  • Work within ITIL processes, managing tickets and supporting SLAs and escalations

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Good communication skills to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Grade 4/C in Maths and Grade 5/C in English

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £15,600 – £18,000 per annum
  • 8:45 – 5:15 Monday to Friday

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT Support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
