Baltic Apprenticeships are working in partnership with Medhurst IT to find their next IT Apprentice. Established in 1986, Medhurst are a well-established managed service provider, delivering reliable and cost-effective IT solutions to a broad range of education and commercial clients. They are known for their proactive approach, helping organisations get the most out of their technology while providing high-quality, customer-focused support.

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team, gaining hands-on experience across IT support, cloud technologies, infrastructure, and cyber security. A Typical Day on the Job:

  • Provide 1st line IT support to users, resolving technical issues and responding to service requests via the ticketing systems
  • Assist with user account management, including password resets, VPN access, and maintaining security protocols
  • Support the administration of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, ensuring users have appropriate access and permissions
  • Build, configure, and deploy laptops and PCs, as well as diagnose and repair hardware faults
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system issues, escalating more complex problems to senior team members when required
  • Set up and manage two-factor authentication (2FA) while triaging incoming issues and ensuring timely resolution or escalation
  • Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays!

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage and support customers
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated to help others, gaining satisfaction from resolving issues and providing excellent support
  • A full UK driving licence (or currently learning to drive) is desirable
  • Minimum grade of 5 in English and a 4 in Math is required

 

 

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
