In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line IT support via helpdesk, telephone, remote access tools, and in-person assistance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Configure devices, user accounts, and system access for new starters
- Support Microsoft 365 administration, including user management and basic troubleshooting
- Assist with device management through Microsoft Intune under supervision
- Provide support with basic Microsoft Azure administration tasks
- Manage and update support tickets in line with agreed service levels
- Escalate more complex technical issues to senior team members when required
- Contribute to IT projects such as system deployments, upgrades, and improvements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
- Travel to business sites to provide on-site support when required
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Grade 5 in English & Grade 4 in Maths at GCSE is required for this programme
- Basic understanding of IT support principles, including hardware and Windows operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- A proactive and organised approach to work
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel between locations as required
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- A genuine interest in IT and a desire to build a long-term career in technology
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary: £24,785 per year
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Holiday: 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Fully funded Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship with Baltic Apprenticeships
- Dedicated study time (one day per week) as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Hands-on experience within a modern IT environment
- Exposure to enterprise technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune
