We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice to join our growing business at a time of significant digital transformation. With ongoing investment in new systems, infrastructure and modern technologies, this role will provide hands-on experience supporting critical IT operations across a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
As an IT Support Apprentice, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our IT systems, supporting colleagues across the organisation while developing your technical skills and gaining valuable industry experience within a supportive, values-driven company.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line IT security and access support, including password resets, enabling/disabling user accounts, and assisting with multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup.
- Manage and prioritise support tickets using Freshdesk, ensuring timely responses, accurate status updates, and escalation of unresolved issues in line with SLA targets.
- Deliver technical support to users via face-to-face interaction, remote access tools, and email, troubleshooting issues across laptops, desktops, and networked devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including upgrading components, deploying applications, and supporting system updates both remotely and in person.
- Use troubleshooting tools such as Event Viewer, command-line utilities, and remote management platforms to diagnose and resolve IT and connectivity issues.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £23,000 – £25,000 per annum
- Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:30
- Holiday – 25 days + bank and public holidays
- Pension is 8% of which 4.5% is EEs and 3.5% ERs
- 2 x death in service for employees in post at 1 October each year based on salary at that time.
