You will support the Regional Network Manager in running the infrastructure and software systems across the region. You will report directly to the Regional Network Manager and be responsible for supporting a wide range of hardware and software solutions in the teaching and learning environments. 

Duties include assisting with ICT projects and providing support to staff and pupils. You will be working in a busy helpdesk environment, logging incidents, resolving problems, implementing new technologies, deploying software, maintaining accurate inventories, and updating network documentation. 

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide an excellent level of customer service to staff and students.
  • IT systems support across a cluster of schools.
  • Support an active ITIL based helpdesk.
  • Support a wide range of hardware and software solutions across a variety of teaching and learning environments.
  • Be part of large and exciting new IT projects across the Trust and in your cluster of schools.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Customer Service – Teaching and learning is at the forefront of everything, you are to ensure you provide a warm and friendly service to staff and students.
  • Fast Learner – ICT and education moves at a rapid pace. We need you to keep up with this to give the students the best chance of success.
  • Enthusiastic – Want someone who come in every day ready to excel and push themselves as part of the team.
  • GCSE Grade 5 in English and 4 in Maths
  • Due to the nature of the role certain tasks may need to be undertaken out of hours and at weekends a certain level of flexibility is required.
  • The role will support a cluster of schools/academies, providing advice and technical support, therefore some travel may be required.

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
