This exciting opportunity is for an apprentice to join an ever-growing IT team based in Loughborough. You will work alongside the Trust IT Manager and team to ensure the smooth running of the technical IT service across all schools within the trust.

They are looking for candidates with good communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Along with a good level of IT skills including Microsoft Office software, you will be able to manage your own workload and respond swiftly to tight deadlines.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • To provide first-line help desk support to users and stakeholders across the Trust.
  • Monitor, diagnose, repair, and record breakdown of hardware and software, using the helpdesk, escalating issues to the Group IT Manager.
  • Assess the breakdown of equipment and if necessary escalate to service level agreement and warranty.
  • Maintain accurate records of both work carried out and an inventory of equipment.
  • To liaise with the Group IT Manager and teaching staff, identifying, evaluating, and developing learning resources for use in the implementation of the National Curriculum, for ICT and cross-curricula teaching.
  • To carry out routine maintenance work during shutdown periods.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday – Thursday 8:30 AM– 4:30 PM
  • Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • £12,355.99 – £13,185 Per annum
  • Access to Local Government Pension Scheme membership
  • 31 Days annual leave including public holidays.
  • Cycle to work scheme.

  • GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English
