Baltic Apprenticeships is thrilled to be partnering with a unique Service Integration & Management company for to hire their next IT Support Apprentice. The client was established by a group of engineering & technology specialists that came together to help clients envision, design and implement technology infrastructure for today’s market and beyond. The team are ambitious, creative professionals who are driven to deliver solutions that change customer perceptions and inspire other businesses to fundamentally change their operations.

They have a wealth of experience kick-starting apprentices careers in the past, they know exactly what it takes to support and guide you throughout your programme!

As an IT Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for providing helpdesk support to clients, diagnosing software/hardware faults, updating self-help documents, analysing call logs, visits to customer sites and so much more to enhance your skills are reach your true potential!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Taking help desk calls, logging and tracking calls, and ensuring that all issues are properly recorded and resolved
  • Logging tickets and keeping records of queries
  • Analysing call logs to identify common trends and underlying problems
  • Diagnosing Hardware and Software faults
  • Working closely with field engineers to visit customer sites if the problem is more serious
  • Assisting with the installation of hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
  • Updating self-help documents for customers

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary – £17,000
  • Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM
  • 28 Days holiday including bank holidays
  • Opportunity to progress

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of software and hardware
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn new skills on a daily basis
  • Confident over the telephone
  • Problem solver
  • Self sufficient
  • Grade 5/C in English or Grade 4/C in Math's GCSE

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
