We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join a team of experts in Bradford as an IT Support Apprentice. As an apprentice, you'll embark on an exciting journey, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of IT support while enjoying a range of benefits, including a competitive salary ranging from £12,480 to £16,770 per annum, with the opportunity to earn bonuses up to £100 per month after passing the 3-month probation. Additionally, you'll receive 23 days of holiday entitlement, access to company-paid events such as summer parties and pizza days, and excellent progression opportunities within this dynamic organisation.

Within this role you will be responsible for providing essential IT support services to customers, ensuring smooth operations and effective resolution of technical issues. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of IT support while working towards achieving professional qualifications.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide 1st line support to customers who seek IT assistance, addressing queries and technical issues promptly and professionally.
  • Set up new user accounts and assist with password resets, ensuring seamless access to company systems and resources.
  • Perform upgrades and maintenance tasks on components and hardware for PCs, laptops, and printers, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Work with SAS (Software as a Service) and networks to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Monitor and configure servers and networks, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Utilize communication tools such as Teams, remote access software, ticketing systems, phone, email, or in-person interactions to provide support and maintain effective communication with users and team members.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £12,480 – £16,770 Per annum
  • Working Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5pm
  • Working hours for a Friday are 8am-4:30pm
  • Bonus Scheme (After 3 months’ probation pass) capped at £100 Per month
  • 23 days holiday with increments
  • Company-paid events (summer parties, pizza days, etc.).
  • Excellent progression opportunities

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eager to learn
  • Enthusiastic about IT – Knowledge of hardware and software is beneficial
  • Motivated team player
  • GCSE Grade 5 in English and 4 in Maths is required for this role
