An exciting new opportunity has become available in the Warrington area, you will build upon your current skills, gain an industry-recognised qualification, and learn from the experts. 

This establishment is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure for businesses all over the UK, working with computers, servers, cloud technologies & networks. As an apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional & prompt customer support through various communication channels such as email, phone & Teams, in order to resolve technical issues & build new IT systems. 

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Use email, phone & Teams to communicate with customers
  • Use the internal monitoring systems to identify & diagnose faults on computers, servers & networks
  • Manage multiple support requests through the ticketing system
  • Execute tasks such as setting up user accounts, emails & password resets while maintaining confidentiality
  • Use remote control software to remotely access computers to resolve faults
  • Logging faults with suppliers (eg broadband, mobile, etc) on behalf of customers
  • Ensuring all customer technical information is documented & kept up-to-date
  • Building new IT systems for customers (eg computers, network equipment, Wi-Fi, etc)
  • Adhere to IT best practices, including GDPR compliance, password complexity, and two-factor authentication.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)
  • £13,500+ Per annum
  • 28 Days annual leave

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent customer service skills – experience beneficial
  • Great communication skills
  • Have a keen interest in IT and can demonstrate this
  • Eager to learn
  • GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English
