We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join an outgoing team based in Guildford. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and essential skills in IT support while working within an educational environment.

This apprenticeship will provide comprehensive training in IT support and will lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Within this role you will provide first-line technical support to staff and students within the academies across the trust. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, including hardware, software, and network problems. Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure and so much more!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Respond to support tickets, ensuring they are updated on timely basis – Managing printing support, logging
  • Manage print services and thorough understanding of network securities.
  • Gain full insight into user management using AD and Office 365
  • Install/manage the phone and wifi system
  • Log each ticket and helping manageme to analyse current/future network requirements.
  • Ensuring all tickets are closed in a timely manner and escalated where necessary
  • Perform system health check and provide network information
  • Help update system hardware and network maintenance physically where needed.
  • Plan downtime and carry out system maintenance during downtime windows.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £13,552 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8:00AM -5:00 PM
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays! (Annual leave must be taken during school holidays only)

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Have a keen interest in IT
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • A can-do attitude and be confident to ask for help and guidance
  • An eagerness to learn and develop your skills
  • Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths
