Baltic Apprenticeships are working with our client based in Bradford, they are looking for a keen and ambitious IT apprentice to join their team. The ideal candidate will be answering client calls and helping to resolve issues with client systems. Training will be provided as well as access to a variety of different systems to learn. Daily routines will be allocated with include tasks like checking backups and antivirus are up to date. You will learn to use and be required to use a ticketing timesheet system to keep a log of issues.

This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to break into IT and Cyber Security, as you will gain experience with a variety of IT systems such as servers, desktops, routers, and learning how to secure and support them. As you progress you will be given more responsibilities and roles within the team to grow your skill set in this growing area of the business.

You may be required to visit client sites from time to time, due to this you will need your own transport and a full UK driving license.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Answering client calls and helping resolve issues with client systems
  • Daily checks such as checking backups, checking that the backup systems function and that data is safely stored
  • Working with endpoint security software to ensure that client machines are protected and all threats resolved
  • Providing remote support and on-site support to clients by troubleshooting networking, hardware and software issues
  • Installation and configuration of hardware, software and networking appliances

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £14,430 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays!

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Due to the nature of this role you will need to have a full UK Driving license and your own transport
  • A keen interest in IT
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • A can do attitude and be confident to ask for help and guidance
  • An eagerness to learn and develop your skills
  • Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Technician.
