As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you'll dive into the heart of our operations, leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and optimise performance. From analysing energy consumption patterns to enhancing client servicing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping their sustainability initiatives and maximising our impact on the planet.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data & Business Insights qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Process and manage supplier invoices by scanning incoming documents, uploading them to internal systems and supplier portals, and ensuring invoices are accurately recorded and distributed to the correct internal departments and external client contacts.
  • Resolve debt chasing and invoice-related queries by communicating with suppliers and clients via email, investigating outstanding issues, and maintaining accurate records of all correspondence and actions taken.
  • Maintain and update datasets and spreadsheets outside of the main database system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through regular cleansing and validation activities.
  • Analyse financial and operational data using Microsoft Excel tools such as V-lookups, filters, and pivot tables to identify trends in client payment behaviour, supplier debt chasing activity, and invoicing accuracy.
  • Produce and share reports on debt chasing performance, invoice processing accuracy, and payment trends with both internal teams and external clients to support process monitoring and identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Support the full data lifecycle by collecting, modifying, cleansing, and reporting on invoice and payment data, while contributing to the development of more efficient processes and helping to manage client expectations effectively.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18000-23000 per annum
  • Working Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • Driven individual with exceptional organisational skills.
  • Numerate and analytical.
  • Confident able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • Business acumen/commercial awareness.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about client service.
  • A grade 4/C at GCSE in English and Maths is required for this role
