We’re looking for a passionate and motivated IT Support Apprentice to join a dynamic technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in IT and technology to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of systems, hardware, software, and networks. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, support internal and external users, and contribute to the rollout of cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Set up, configure and upgrade IT equipment including printers, routers, switches, and RAM
- Configure VLANs and support network device setup and maintenance
- Install and update operating systems, office suites, and software packages
- Apply regular system updates, security patches, and driver installations through remote management tools
- Respond to support tickets and technical queries across multiple channels – phone, email, messaging, and video
- Provide timely first-line support for internal users and external clients
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues using tools such as Task Manager, Redstreet, and Wireshark
- Work with documentation platforms (IT Glue, Halo PSA) to log support cases and maintain audit trails
- Learn to interpret technical documentation such as knowledge base articles, vendor specs, and network diagrams
- Contribute to meeting SLA targets, including a 15-minute response time
- Participate in the implementation of security measures such as MFA, antivirus configuration, group policies, and encryption
- Gain exposure to and support the rollout of a new cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure
- Use PowerShell and other scripting tools to help automate tasks and solve technical issue
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary – £16,000-£18,000 per annum
- 20 Days Annual Leave Plus Bank Holidays
- Working Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm
- 1 hour lunch break

- Has a natural curiosity for technology and how things work
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Is confident in communicating with users of all levels
- Shows attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Is a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Is keen to learn and develop both technical and professional skills
- Some experience or understanding of IT support, systems, or networking is desirable (but not essential)
- A passion for IT, with a willingness to learn new technologies
- You must have a driving licence and access to your own car for this opportunity
- Grade 4/C in Maths GCSE & Grade 5/C in English GCSE (REQUIRED)
