Your role as an IT Support Apprentice will be vital in ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, enabling our teams to continue their impactful work in the community. A Typical Day in the Job:
- Providing essential IT support: Responding to IT issues via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and face-to-face, escalating to our external 3rd line support (Myson Pages) when needed, and logging all issues in our TopDesk ticketing system.
- Managing user security: Handling password resets, setting up multi-factor authentication, and assisting with Group Policy implementation to maintain a secure environment.
- Hardware setup and maintenance: Installing, configuring, and upgrading physical hardware like new PCs, monitors, switches, and Wi-Fi devices, as well as troubleshooting and fixing broken components.
- Software installation and updates: Deploying and configuring a variety of software, including Microsoft 365 applications, Adobe products, and internal inventory management systems, and applying regular service patches and updates.
- Interpreting technical information: Learning to read and apply complex technical documentation, including our IT system overview, to effectively resolve issues and contribute to our knowledge base.
- Network and Cloud exposure: Gaining an understanding of wired and wireless network setups, getting hands-on experience with cloud technologies, and utilising PowerShell for basic scripting tasks.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,722.50 per annum
- Monday – Friday: 8-4 / 9-5
- Annual leave from 34-39 days (including public holidays)
- Membership of a pension scheme

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Confident communication
- Some experience working with computers.
- Ability to work as a team as well as independently
- GCSEs in English (at a grade 5/C or above) and Maths (at Grade C/4 or above).
Your Training with Baltic:
This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.

You must have the right to work in the UK, and valid residency status to apply for this apprenticeship.
