One World Rental is a global provider of IT and technology solutions, supporting events, conferences, and businesses around the world. The team ensures everything runs smoothly — from supplying the latest technology to delivering high-quality on-site and remote IT support.

They are now looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join the team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for technology, a curious mindset, and a desire to build a career in IT. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience across hardware, software, networking, and cloud systems while working alongside experienced professionals who will guide and support their development every step of the way.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Support Security Operations – Assist in essential security processes such as password management, multi-factor authentication setup, and data encryption to safeguard client systems.
• Interpret Technical Documentation – Review and understand network diagrams, technical specifications, and security policies, ensuring they are correctly implemented and stored on SharePoint.
• Manage Support Requests – Monitor and resolve tickets within agreed SLAs using Microsoft Teams’ built-in ticketing system, maintaining accurate records and an audit trail for escalations.
• Deliver Multi-Channel Support – Provide high-quality technical assistance in person, via email, phone, Microsoft Teams, and through the ticketing platform.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues – Use diagnostic tools such as TeamViewer, Command Prompt, Remote Success, and Microsoft utilities to identify and fix technical problems efficiently.
• Work with Hardware – Install, upgrade, and maintain laptops, iPads, servers, switches, firewalls, and printers; handle hardware components and perform cable management.
• Configure and Maintain Software – Set up client operating systems, monitoring tools, and business applications; carry out software updates, including security patches, driver updates, and service packs.
• Support Network Infrastructure – Maintain wired and wireless devices such as routers, switches, headsets, Wi-Fi access points, and printers.
• Work with Cloud Technologies – Assist with the configuration and management of Azure, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Intune environments.
• Automate Processes – Use PowerShell scripting to streamline and automate repetitive tasks, such as group updates, improving efficiency and accuracy.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £20,000 – £22,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm
• 20 days holidays plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
• Keen to progress in a career in IT
• Willingness to learn
• Good customer service skills
