IT Support Apprentice

Join them as an IT Support Apprentice and gain practical experience across cloud platforms, security systems, networks, and remote support, while working toward a recognised Level 3 qualification.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Providing technical support to users via phone, email, and remote tools like ISL.
- Managing user accounts, resetting passwords, and configuring MFA in Microsoft 365.
- Installing, updating, and troubleshooting software on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Monitoring systems using tools like N-Able and NinjaOne and ensuring SLAs are met.
- Setting up and maintaining hardware including networks, VoIP systems, and end-user devices.
- Conducting regular patching and software updates using Intune and Jamf School.
- Supporting LAN, VPN, and broadband setups, and working with devices from Unifi, TP-Link Omada, and Draytek.
- Writing and using PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and support system configurations.
- Documenting tasks and updates in the ticketing system and communicating progress via Teams and 3CX.
You’ll also gain exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Intune.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
Essential:
- A clean UK driving licence and DBS check (required for visiting schools and client sites).
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Mac computers.
- An interest in IT ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
- Experience helping friends, family, or school with tech issues.
- Basic knowledge of VPNs, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace.
- A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,705 to £23,809 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
- Company phone and laptop.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
Through Baltic Apprenticeships’ Level 3 programme, you’ll build a solid foundation in IT support, networking, system management, and cloud technologies. With a blend of online learning, real-time support, and workplace experience, you’ll be equipped to take the next big step in your IT career.
