Baltic Apprenticeships are working with our long term client in Southport, they are on the lookout for a Junior Data Apprentice to join their rapidly growing team! Offering a £14,000 salary, regular staff events, paid lunch provided once a month and much more! Our client has a track record of successful apprentices and has nurtured several candidates in recent years!

As an apprentice you will be fully immersed in the world of Data, you will be tasked with assisting in gathering, cleaning and organising data, help to create basic reports and dashboards, involved in documenting BI processes and outcomes and much more. Throughout your journey you will be given all the tools and support to build a successful career in the exciting world of Data! You will be under the tutelage of the Head of BI as well as a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to provide you with industry expert knowledge throughout your journey!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Essentials qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organising data to help prepare it for analysis
  • Under supervision, help to create basic reports and dashboards to help understand how to present data in a way that is useful and accessible to others in the company
  • Be involved in documenting BI processes and outcomes, important for maintaining the integrity and usability of BI systems
  • Assist more senior BI in their projects, providing practical experience and insight into more complex BI tasks
  • Help in testing and validating BI tools and reports to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Take part in meting and strategy sessions to help understand the business context and how BI contributes to decision making

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £14,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm
  • 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays!

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of data types, basic data manipulation and the significance of data in business decision making
  • Strong skills in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and charts as a foundational tool for data analysis
  • Ability to analyse data sets, identify trends and provide insights
  • Aptitude for tackling challenges, creatively and effectively
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies in the BI field
  • Ability to communicate findings, explain data insights and work collaboratively with the team
  • Precision in handling data and accuracy in analysis and reports
  • Grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective Junior Data Analyst.
