In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line IT support via phone, email, remote tools, and the ticketing system
- Log, manage, and resolve support tickets while meeting SLAs and escalating when needed
- Set up user accounts, reset passwords, and support security tools like MFA and antivirus
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware including desktops, laptops, and printers
- Support software installations, updates, and automated deployments using tools like PowerShell
- Assist with network connectivity (wired and wireless) and general IT infrastructure support
- Work alongside senior engineers on projects, including printer deployments and on-site setups
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Grade 5 in English & Grade 4 in Maths at GCSE is required for this programme
- Strong communication skills – confident speaking to people via phone, email, and face-to-face
- A friendly, approachable personality
- Genuine interest in IT and technology
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Good problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes and technical documentation
- Organised and able to manage tasks effectively
- Team player who can also use their own initiative
- Basic understanding of IT (hardware, software, or networks) is beneficial but not essential
- Aspiration to learn to drive within the next 12 months
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary: £16,000 per year
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Holiday: Standard annual leave + bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
