Baltic Apprenticeships are excited to be working with Fusion Technology Solutions to help them find their next IT Apprentice. Fusion Technology Solutions is a UK-based managed IT services provider that supports small and medium-sized businesses with reliable technology solutions, including IT support, cyber security, cloud services, communications, and proactive system monitoring to keep clients’ technology running smoothly.

In this apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands-on experience helping with day-to-day IT tasks, such as setting up user accounts, supporting technical issue resolution, monitoring systems for potential issues, and assisting with hardware and software installations. You’ll work closely with the team to learn practical skills in IT support and security while contributing to real customer service delivery.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Help set up new user accounts, manage password resets, apply security updates, and support basic cyber security tasks to keep systems safe.
  • Log and manage support tickets, making sure issues are prioritised correctly, resolved on time, and escalated to senior engineers when needed.
  • Provide technical support to staff and clients, both remotely and on-site, helping fix hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install and set up computers, laptops, servers, routers, and switches, making sure everything is working properly after installation.
  • Install and update operating systems, business software, and security tools, including setting up user profiles and permissions.
  • Monitor systems using remote tools to spot performance issues, faults, or potential security risks before they become bigger problems.
  • Follow step-by-step technical guides and internal documentation to troubleshoot issues, carry out tasks correctly, and keep accurate records of work completed.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £17,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am till 5:30pm
  • 28 Days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Regular social events

  • Passion for IT and technology
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Grade 4/C in Math’s & Grade 5/C in English

 

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
