This role is ideal for an individual with a genuine interest in IT and technology who is eager to begin a career in the industry. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about technology and committed to building a long-term career in IT.
The apprentice will work alongside a supportive and experienced IT team who will provide guidance and mentoring throughout the programme. The team environment is friendly and encouraging, helping the apprentice to build confidence while developing practical technical skills.
As part of the apprenticeship, structured training will be delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships, including dedicated two-day training blocks approximately every 4–6 weeks. This training will support the apprentice in developing both technical knowledge and workplace skills alongside their day-to-day responsibilities.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line technical support to internal and external users, diagnosing and resolving routine and non-routine IT issues.
- Assist customers and staff with IT systems, applications, and devices to ensure effective day-to-day operation.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems and platforms to maximise system performance, productivity, and user experience.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support users with network connectivity issues, including wired (Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connections.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new IT equipment and devices.
- Gain practical experience working with cloud technologies as services are migrated from on-premises systems to cloud platforms.
- Work alongside senior IT staff to develop technical skills and knowledge.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

- Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £25,786 per annum.
- 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-3.30pm on Fridays.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
