Empower Learning Academy TRUST is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 IT Support Apprentice to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and applications across the Trust.
  • Log, track, resolve, or appropriately escalate support requests within agreed SLAs using the Helpdesk/SharePoint system.
  • Carry out routine maintenance of IT equipment, systems, printers, and projectors.
  • Maintain and update the IT asset register for all supported hardware.
  • Monitor, report, and act on IT security breaches in line with Trust policy.
  • Identify and implement preventative maintenance requirements to minimise downtime.
  • Support the secure storage, stock control, and ordering of IT equipment and consumables in line with Trust procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Central IT Support colleagues to ensure effective workload distribution and service delivery.
  • Assist the Head of IT Operations and Support with operational reporting, documentation, and ongoing IT improvements.
  • Participate in performance management, undertake annual CPD, support cross-training within the team, and uphold the Empower Learning Academy TRUST Vision, Mission, and Values.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • 20,365.88 per annum
  • Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 45mins lunch break

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Grade 4/C in Maths and 5/C in English
  • Passion for IT
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
